The Writing Center
The Writing Center, located in the Integrated Learning Center in Building 1200, provides services for enrolled Las Positas College students in all disciplines. Stop in to see one of the English/ESL Writing Specialists (see hours of operation below).
These services include:
- one-one-one help with writing assignments
- drop in, no appointment necessary
- use of computers
- on-line grammar and reference resources
- a collection of standard and ESL dictionaries
Writing Center Hours: Spring 2008
The Writing Center provides assistance with writing assignments for students in all disciplines, both academic and vocational. We provide 20 minute drop-in meetings on a first-come, first-served basis. The Writing Center hours of operation are:
Open Writing Center will begin on Monday, February 4, 2008.
- Monday - Thursday: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
- Friday: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
Online Help for Writers
For immediate help with your writing assignments, check out the Online Writing Lab. It can give you all kinds of tips, such as when to use a comma, how to organize a term paper, or how to streamline the way you write with a computer.
