Degrees & Certificates
The Las Positas College Anthropology program offers courses that lead to an Associate
in Arts in Anthropology for Transfer degree. The major requirements for the Associate
in Arts in Anthropology for Transfer degree align with the Intersegmental Transfer
Model Curriculum (TMC) for Anthropology. Students will have guaranteed admission to
a California State University (CSU) campus upon successful completion of the program
requirements. Students should consult with a counselor to determine whether this degree
is the best option for their transfer goals. General education requirements should
carefully based on the intended transfer institution.
- Completion of 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State
University, including both of the following:
- The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or CA State University General Education - Breadth Requirements.
- A minimum of 18 semester units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.
- Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
AD-Ts also require the students must earn a C or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis. A “P” (Pass) grade is not acceptable grade for courses in the major.
