- EMS 70B - CPR for Health Care Providers - 0.5 units
EMS 30 - Emergency Medical Responder
Development of knowledge and skills necessary for recognizing and caring for emergency situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, prevention of disease transmission, and automated external defbrillation. Designed for frst responders in an emergency. Successful completion of the knowledge, skills tests and with a successful completion of the course at 80% accumulative points and the summative fnal at (80%) qualifes for a American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) "First Responder" Certifcate and an American Heart Association “Basic Life Support Health Care Provider” Certifcate. 2 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory. Transfer: CSU.
EMS 70B - CPR for Health Care Provider
Development of knowledge, skills and personal judgment necessary to initiate and perform basic life support techniques as a health care professional. Successful completion of the knowledge and skills tests qualifes for an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certifcate. .5 hours lecture. Transfer: CSU.
