Dates and Deadlines
Pell Grants: For the current school year 2007-2008, processed FAFSAs must be received and files completed by the last day of the Spring term 2008. Students may apply up to that date, are eligible for retroactive payments, but files must be complete. For the upcoming school year 2008-2009 processed FAFSAs must be recieved and files completed by the last day of Spring term 2009.
Cal Grants: A 2007-2008 FAFSA and a GPA verification must be filed by March 2, 2007. For the Community College Competitive Grants, a 2007-2008 FAFSA and GPA verification must be submitted by September 3, 2007 to be considered for the 2007-2008 school year. Contact the Financial Aid office for details.
Federal WorkStudy: Offered on a first-come first served basis once FAFSAs are processed and files are complete. Visit the Financial Aid Office for current job openings or go to Current Work Opportunities. Openings may occur throughout the year.
Stafford Student Loans: Applicants may be filed September 5 - November 17th for fall semester and January 6 - April 20 for Spring term. FAFSAs must be processed, files must be complete, and loan forms must be submitted by these dates.
Enrollment Fee Waivers: Must be applied for either by receiving an eligible processed FAFSA or a Board of Governors Enrollment Fee Waiver Application by the last day of the school year. Refunds will only be made if applied for prior to the last day of the school year for terms falling within the current school year only.
Las Positas Scholarship Program: During February each year the Las Positas Scholarship Program is advertised, and students may begin to apply for a variety of awards available only to Las Positas students. Applications and Instructions will be available on the LPC Financial Aid Website.
