Ask a Physicist!

The Physics Department at Las Positas College is starting an "Ask a Physicist" program where we will answer selected questions submitted by anyone who visits this website.

We will attempt to answer any question of a scientific nature though we hold the right to pass on any question we deem either inappropriate or beyond our scope. We accept homework problems, though some effort must be shown that the questioner attempted the problem. In these cases, a similar problem may be answered or hints given to put you on the right track. It is highly recommended that students approach their professors during office hours or email them directly for questions on homework. We will select which questions will be answered. Some will be posted to this website and a select few will be posted on the bulletin board outside room 1831 so stop by!

Please submit your questions here (or below) to lab tech Tom. He will pass the questions around to the various physicists for their input. In some cases, more than one solution or method of solution may be offered or even more thoughts and ideas from different physicists may be given. All of these will be collected and put in the response.
