Reading and Writing Email Tutoring -- "Ask an English Tutor"
We are NOT taking submissions at this time.
Email your papers to us 24/7. We do our best to review all submissions within 48 hours, but it may take up to 1 week during peak periods. Tutors will provide feedback on papers but will not edit papers for you.
Email your questions and/or paper as an attachment to LPCEnglishtutor@gmail.com.
You must submit the following:
Your name and W number in the subject heading of the email
The course name and section number in the body
A description of the assignment or the assignment instructions along with the due date
A specific question to the tutor in the body of your email (i.e. Does my thesis work? Can you help me with run ons? Is my arguement strong throughout the paper?)
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
Reading and writing services include help with reading comprehension, reading strategies, brainstorming for essays, essay organization, thesis statements and conclusions, paragraph focus, developing your ideas, MLA and APA documentation and format, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.
You will likely get a written response with an answer to a specific question you've asked and/or the three most important areas you can address to help you improve the paper along with explanations or resources to help fix these issues. In most cases, tutors will also comment within the paper.
We do not offer a "proofreading service." Tutors will help you locate your errors and teach you how to fix them and provide learning resources. We might fix one or two grammar errors as examples with explanations, but you would then need to fix your own errors based on that information.
