Web Account Request Process
Institutional Websites
- All requests for websites must go to the Webmaster first.
- Please do not request a website from the DesignShop. If an institutional
website is designed or created by the DesignShop, the webmaster
has the right to either require necessary changes be made (to adhere
to the Web Policy and/or Web Style Guide), or to deny posting
of the site.
- What is the purpose of the website?
- If the website is INSTITUTIONAL, please complete the Web
Account Request Form.
- When you have completed the Web Account Request Form, the Webmaster
will provide you with access information, the District Web Policy,
the Las Positas College Web Style Guide, Web Accessibility Guidelines,
and the District Copyright Policy.
- You will schedule an appointment for training with the Webmaster.
- When training is completed, the Webmaster will seek to procure the
necessary software for you (if you are the person who is maintaining
the website).
- If the software can be obtained, the Webmaster will contact Instructional
Systems to install it on your office computer.
- If the software cannot be obtained for your office workstation,
you may use existing software in the Professional Development Center
(PDC), Room 2012.
- When the website is finished, the Webmaster must approve it before
it goes live.
- If any modifications are necessary, they must be made prior to
going live.
- Once the website has been approved, any future modifications to the
site can be made without needing further approval.
