5. Reports
8.1. Chair's Report
-
Program Review Committee accepted changes for SLO section.
-
SLO Charge and consent items were presented to Academic Senate on 5/13.
-
Chair has been working with faculty to complete assessments in META. One system glitch was identified: all sections were created, but one faculty member was not displayed next to the corresponding section. Continue monitoring for missing data, sections, or courses and advise faculty of any identified glitches. Mapping is not yet available in META. The next major step will be working with program-level data, including linking courses to programs and CSLOs.
-
Discussion with META regarding the setup and implementation of SAO assessments for the next academic year.
-
Continue working with the Curriculum & SLO Specialist on website revisions throughout the summer.
-
Three-year plans will be a major area of emphasis in the fall. The Chair will send communication to faculty before the start of the semester. Templates will need to be completed.
-
Support the rollout of SAOs in META and maintain tracking of SAOs for Student Services.
-
Explore use of the PLO Assessment Tool to support the development and completion of three-year plans.
-
Goal is to increase faculty completion of assessments and ensure programs complete three-year plan templates for the upcoming cycle. At least one completed template will be required per department.
-
Continue defining data analysis processes and developing an understanding of how to interpret disaggregated data. Identify and provide appropriate resources and guidance to help faculty understand and respond to the new data.
