How to Apply for Your Degree or Certificate

1. Meet with a counselor to review your final SEP and confirm you are ready to graduate. Your counselor will let you know when and how to apply.
2. If you haven’t seen a counselor consult the college catalog to ensure you have completed all the units for your major and general education. https://laspositascollege.edu/catalog/current/index.php

The Deadline to Apply for a Degree or Certificate

The deadlines to apply for a degree or certificate are listed below. Please check the academic calendar for current dates.

• Summer – Mid-July
• Fall – Mid-October
• Spring – April 1st

Participation in Commencement for students who have applied for their Degree or Certificate

To participate in the Commencement/Graduation Ceremony, you must first apply for your degree or certificate.

Be on the lookout for an email invitation sent via zonemail to attend the Annual Commencement/Graduation Ceremony.

Invitations to Commencement/Graduation Ceremony

Commencement/Graduation invitations will be sent out in two batches.

1. March (mid-month), to anyone who finished all classes and transferred by Sum & Fall previous year.
2. April (mid-month) candidates who are pending completion of classes in Spring of current year and/or registered to complete pending classes for Summer of current year.
