If you received an email indicating that you have a check at the LPC Financial Aid Office, follow the instructions and please stop by as soon as possible.
If your having difficulties cashing your check, please have the bank representative call us and we can direct them to the person they will need to speak with.

Cal Grant Announcement
The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) identified a system issue that prevented some Cal Grant students from appearing on WebGrants Display Rosters and Grant Roster files. CSAC will reprocess the affected students this evening, Thursday, October 15, 2026.

THE 2027–28 FAFSA & CADAA ARE NOW AVAILABLE!

The application is officially online and available : https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
Please complete the 2027-28 FAFSA or CADAA before the March 02 Cal Grant deadline.
Undocumented students will not need to submit a FAFSA, and should instead complete a California Dream Act
Application (CADAA) to apply for free financial aid to help pay for your community
college education.

and check your eligibility.
2027-28 Chafee Grant Application Now Open
California Chafee Grant for Foster Youth Eligibility
The Cal Grant C program provides
financial assistance for students pursuing occupational or technical training
in priority workforce sectors of at least eight weeks in length and payment
amounts are determined by program length and not the student’s
enrollment status.

OWE ENROLLMENT (tuition) FEES?
The California College Promise Grant (CCPG) helps eligible students by waiving the $46 per unit enrollment fee for an academic year (starting with the summer term). This program is only available to California residents or students who qualify under AB 540 regulations.
Important: If you do not complete a FAFSA (7 - 10 days to reach us) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) (7 - 10 days to reach us), you must apply separately for eligibility for the CCPG Fee Waiver Type B - Results typically available in 24–48 hours.

Federal Deadline for FAFSA
The 2026–27 FAFSA is for attendance from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The federal deadline to
submit the 2026–27 FAFSA is June 30, 2027.
LPC Free Tuition Promise
- First-time college students that have not attended college before. Students who have earned college credit prior to high school graduation or students enrolled at Las Positas College during the summer immediately prior to fall 2026 are eligible.
- Must be enrolled in, and must complete, **12 or more units per semester during fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Must be a California resident or AB 540 student.
- Must complete the FAFSA or CADAA to determine eligibility
*Note: Las Positas College must be the official college of record and the FAFSA/CADAA must be submitted for Las Positas College.
