2.2 Challenge Walk or 5K Run

LPC Veterans First Program & Sean Brock Foundation are hosting a 2.2 Challenge Walk & 5K Run for Veterans Day on November 9.

About this Event

We walk to raise awareness about veteran suicide, and we hope that by walking with us you will be able to help us advocate for mental health support services for student veterans . The goal of the walk is to help inform individuals on this matter and allow those who have already been affected by it an opportunity to share their story. This walk is designed to remember those we have already lost and to unite as a community to remind others that they are not alone. 22 is symbolic of the 22 veterans who commit suicide daily. The 2.2. for 22 Challenge Walk will have various challenge stations that focus on the number 22, e.g., 22 squats, change a tire in 2.2 minutes, drag a fire hose 22 yards, pet one therapy dog for 22 seconds, write a gratitude letter for deployed soldiers in 2.2. minutes, and more.

This year we added a 5k with the Sean Brock Foundation which raises funds to provide scholarships to wounded Veterans and their family members.
