Honors Transfer Program Forms
The forms needed to apply to the program, create a contract, complete contract and complete the program are listed below. If you are new to the program, or if you are filling out forms and want a reminder of the process. I would highly recommend watching this video. It covers the process of applying to the program, filling out the Honors Contract Proposal Form, and submitting the completion forms.

The contract completion report below would normally be signed by your instructor (see covid exception). You also need to fill out the Honors Completion Survey for each contract you complete. Are you planning to complete the LPC Honors Program this Spring? If so, this is the form that you will fill out to request official Honors Scholar status upon graduation. An Honors Scholar is a student who completes at least 5 honors contracts in courses totaling at least 15 units while at LPC. Each course with an honors designation must earn at least an A or B to be counted, and your cumulative LPC GPA should be 3.5 or above. Please fill out the information below so that we can begin to process your application. |

Honors Transfer Agreements
Students who complete the LPC Honors Transfer Program by completing 5 or more contracts with at lest 15 units combined may also be entitled to certain transfer agreements with universities around the country. Each transfer agreement is different, so you will want to get started early if you are planning to take advantage for one.
UCLA TAP Process Preparation Form | Deadline |

In order to qualify to initiate UCLA TAP process through LPC you need to be on track to graduate as an honors scholar and complete all UCLA major prep for your major. IGETC completion is recommended. An honors scholar completes at least 5 honors contracts worth at least 15 units and a grade of B or better in all contracted courses. Your cumulative LPC GPA should be 3.5 or above. You also must be planning to apply in a permitted major in the College of Letters and Science. Las Positas College has dozens of transfer agreements through the Honors Transfer Council of California (HTCC). Students utilizing these agreements need to be on track to graduate as honors scholars by completing 5 honors contracts worth at least 15 units and a grade of B or better in all contracted courses. Your cumulative LPC GPA should be 3.5 or above. Requirements and opportunities vary by school so make sure to investigate the specific transfer opportunities at this HTCC website. Honors Contract Proposal Form: Instructions
Before completing the Honors Contract Proposal Form, you will need to meet with your instructor and prepare a one-page summary of your proposed project. Your one-page honors proposal summary should address each of the following:
- What will you create for your honors contract?
- What methods will you use for your research?
- How frequently will you meet with your mentor instructor?
- How will your mentor evaluate your progress on this project throughout the semester?
- What is the timeline for the stages of your project?

The video below shows you how to use the main forms on this page. It explains the 4 steps needed to join the program, create your first honors contract, and get honors credit for your course.
Important details to know:
- You must be a member of the Honors Transfer Program in order to take a course for Honors credit. You may want to speak with your instructor first to make sure you are interested in doing the extra work before completing your Honors Contract Proposal. You should do this as early in the term as possible.
- If your application is approved, you will be added to the e-mail list and you will get the honors program announcements.
- Even if you complete your contract, you still need to earn an A or B in the related course in order to get credit for the honors contract and for the honors credit to apply to your course.

Our program runs in the fall and spring semesters but is not active in the summer term.
