New Student Support Center

The New Student Support Center assists prospective and new students with:

  • Admission applications
  • Online orientation
  • Assessment and placement
  • Scheduling New Student Group Planning sessions
  • Registering for classes
  • Referrals to programs, services, and learning communities

Support Availability.

For the Fall 2025 semester (August 4 – December 5), in-person services are available Monday through Thursday. Remote support is offered on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After admission, you’ll receive a MyPortal activation email with your W number, Zonemail address, and an activation button.

Canvas is our cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) that supports instruction. Instructors can upload and organize course content in a virtual classroom, giving students easy access to materials anytime, anywhere.

First-time login:

  • Username: W number

  • Password: first two letters of your first name + first two letters of your last name (all lowercase) + last four digits of your W number

    • Example: Maria Valdez, W12345678 → mava5678

  • After logging in, please change your password for security.
