Resource Navigation Services

Our Resource Navigation Service provides personalized, one-on-one assistance for students navigating essential resource barriers that can impact overall wellness and academic success.

What is Resource Navigation?

Resource Navigation is a 1:1 confidential support service where a Basic Needs staff member will:

  • Listen to what you’re experiencing and what you need

  • Help you identify options

  • Connect you to the right offices and programs

  • Help you understand what documents may be needed (if any)

  • Support you with referrals and follow-up

Together, we will assess your situation and connect you to a tailored network of both campus and community resources. These resources are designed to support your access to food, stable housing, transportation, technology, and hygiene products, and, mental health services.

Important note: We can help you apply and gather resources, but we do not determine eligibility for public benefits.

Ways to Reach Us

Fill Out Our Form Online

Use our online Assistance Request Form to connect with our team for Basic Needs support. This is the fastest way to request assistance.

Basic Needs Assistance Form

In the form, you can let us know what you need help with, which includes:

  • CalFresh application help or questions
  • Food support (Mini Market / pantry resources)
  • Housing support and resource navigation
  • Emergency resources and referrals
  • And other situations where you are not sure what support fits. Describe what you need, and we will either help you figure out the next step or refer you to the right resource.

What to expect: After you submit the form, a staff member will follow up by email (and/or phone if you request it) with next steps and any documents or information needed.
