Guided Pathways Committee Completed Tasks
Completed Tasks 2021 - 2022
- Annual Guided Pathways Scale of Adoption Self-Assessment Report for 2020-2021 was submitted and approved by the State of California Chancellor’s Office. We have met this year's targets for our work.
- Our budget for Guided Pathways work, as provided by the State and through a SCFF Project, is balanced for the 2020-2021 year.
- Guided Pathways SCFF Project around career exploration and program mapping is on budget and has accomplished this year's activities.
- A Guided Pathways website was created and is maintained with monthly updates on our work, projects, presentations, agendas and minutes. Our Student Team writes regular updates on the website for the campus and community to read regarding how our work impacts students.
- A Mission Statement for our work was created by the Steering Committee and is posted on our website.
- Regular updates are given monthly to all Divisions, Academic and Classified Senates, Student Government, College Council, and the Student Equity and Achievement Committee.
- Regular professional development opportunities included FLEX Day presentations in Fall and Spring semesters, January 2021 retreat for CADP members, monthly Community of Practice on Student Success Teams for the campus and development of a pilot Canvas course around persistence.
- Academic and Career Program Pathways were developed and approved Spring 2021.
- Program Mapper was approved and implemented Spring 2021, with an institutionalization process in place. Support for East Bay CAN Initiative and four-year mapping with Cal State East Bay.
- Career Coach was approved and implemented Spring 2021, with an institutionalization process in place.
- The onboarding process has been redesigned to reflect steps to success for different student types. Students can now monitor progress through the onboarding process in ClassWeb. Onboarding includes course and career assessment, with links to academic and student support. Continuous improvement in this area is ongoing.
- The Persistence Project started Spring 2021 with a cohort of 40+ faculty and classified participants and has continued to grow every semester with 66 faculty engaged this Spring 2022. Between Fall 21 to Spring 22, we have seen 78% persistence for students who were in Persistence Project courses versus 75% persistence for students in non-persistence project courses. This 3% difference is also an improvement over Spring 21 to Fall 21 when we saw 60% PP persistence vs. 59% non-PP persistence.
- LPC was selected to be a CA Demonstration Project College. We have started our design process to develop Success Teams in our Program Pathways - a three year process.
