About the Dream Program

Mission

Communities are stronger when their members receive technical, academic, and professional training. That's why we appreciate your interest in joining us at Las Positas College. We are here to support your journey from enrollment to graduation, and beyond!

In alignment with Assembly Bill 1645, we provide a supportive pathway through college. That means clear information, caring guidance, academic support, and access to personal and professional development opportunities.

Whether you're exploring college for the first time or returning to finish what you started, we're here to help you take the next step. At your own pace, in your own way, with people who understand.

History

The Dream Program at Las Positas College was created with a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves access to education, no matter their immigration status.

Launched in 2016 by a small group of staff, faculty, and student advocates, the program began as a quiet effort to support undocumented students navigating college systems on their own. What started as one-on-one conversations and handwritten resource lists has grown into a trusted, college-wide effort to provide real guidance, protection, and opportunity.

Today, the LPC Dream Program connects students with financial aid guidance, academic and mental health support, UndocuAlly trainings, and a growing network of peers and mentors. While the services have expanded, the mission remains the same: to walk with undocumented and immigrant students every step of the way-from enrollment to graduation and beyond.
