Season of Giving

What is Season of Giving?

Each year, our campus and surrounding Tri-Valley community come together during the holiday season to support the children of Las Positas College student parents who participate in EOPS, CARE, CalWORKs, or NextUp programs.

The Season of Giving, formerly known as Adopt-A-Family, is an annual tradition that brings our campus and community together to help make the holiday season a little brighter for the children of student parents participating in these programs.

For many student parents, balancing college, work, parenting, and everyday expenses can create additional financial challenges during the holiday season. Season of Giving provides an opportunity for our LPC community and community partners to help ease some of that financial pressure by providing gifts for their children.

Over the years, the generosity of our campus and community has provided more than holiday gifts. It has also helped create a sense of connection and community for our student parents and their families.

We are thankful each year for the generosity our community shows the children of our student parents, and we invite you to be part of our Season of Giving.

Ways You Can Support

Sponsor a Child: Select a child to sponsor and purchase items from their holiday wish list.

Give to the Season of Giving Fund: Direct donations allow our team to purchase gift cards, holiday gifts, and other items to help meet the remaining needs of participating children.
