Web Development Certificate of Achievement (CA)

About the Program

The Web Development certificate program is designed to provide students skills that will enable them to develop interactive and dynamic websites. Course work includes web site development using HTLM5 and CSSS3, programming and scripting for the web using JavaScript and JQuery, and accessing data stored in databases using PHP and MySQL. Electives in the program enable students to develop skills in managing projects, designing effective user interfaces, using content management systems, and working with graphic images.

Career Opportunities

Careers include but are not limited to: web technician, web designer, web programmer, web content developer, and web site developer.

Program Outcomes

  • Upon completion of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Web Development, students are able to create basic web pages that contain text (utilizing different fonts and colors), hyperlinks to other web sites, graphic images and sound.
  • Upon completion of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Web Development, students are able to create web pages that incorporate JavaScript controls.
