Transfer Center
While it takes a whole college to help students transfer, The Transfer Center provides specific information and services that relate academic preparedness to career related choices. All of our staff attend conferences to keep informed and partnerships have been established with local four-year universities. The Center and it's resources are for the benefit of all students interested in the transfer process. The goal is to empower students to make choices, take responsibility, set goals and to learn skills that will help them navigate through the transfer process and become their own advocate if needed.
Las Positas Transfer Rate: Based on the COHORT Data from 1999, 22.4 % transferred to another post secondary institution prior to attaining a degree, certificate or becoming "transfer-prepared" during a five-semester period, from Spring 2000-Spring 2002.

The Transfer Center is part of the Student Services department which supports the academic goals of our students. The Career/Transfer/Employment Center is an information and resource center open to students and members of the community. In gathering information, an individual begins the process of a good search, learning skills that will empower them throughout their life. The Center supports and is inter-connected with counseling, EOPS, financial aid and the instructional faculty in an effort to assist students in their search.
