All applicants will be notified by email by May 5th whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship. Recipients will be invited to attend LPC’s Annual Scholarship Ceremony on
Wednesday evening, May 17, 2017.

SAP Workshops

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) Workshops

Check back in fall for a list of workshops.

This workshop is a requirement for any disqualified student intending to petition for reinstatement of financial aid.

Please note: A SAP workshop is not needed for students who need an excessive units petition.

2017-2018 Financial Aid File Processing

We expect to begin processing 2017-18 FAFSAs in the next few weeks. Please be advised that our focus right now is processing financial aid for current spring students, but we will begin intake of documents for next year soon. For those who have filed a 2017-18 FAFSA, when you can view your 2017-18 financial aid data in Class Web, you will know we are ready to begin processing! You will then be able to view your missing documents that need to be submitted to complete your file for next year.

IMPORTANT!!NEW! BOG Fee Waiver Program changes take effect Fall 2016

California community college students receiving fee waivers will have to meet minimum academic and progress standards to remain eligible for the financial assistance under new regulations adopted by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors.

2GenFundScholarshipClick here for More Information
The 2GenFund provides scholarships to cover most of the cost of toddler and pre-school child care for one year at the LPC Child Development Center. Students need not currently be enrolled full-time at the time of application, but you must enroll full-time during the terms the scholarship is offered.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

File a 2016-2017 FAFSA to qualify for a fee waiver or other forms of financial aid. AB540 students should file a DREAM Application.

FSA ID - An FSA ID gives you access to Federal Student Aid’s online systems. Required to sign the FAFSA. Learn more HERE!

Complete your FAFSA by March 2 each year to receive priority funding.

Federal Direct Loan Program

Fall 2016 Application period
September 1 - November 30

Spring 2017 Application period
February 1 - April 29

The first actual refund date will depend on when your file is completed and your loan is actually processed.
