Welcome to the LPC Entrepreneur Speakers Series
March 17, 2015, Rajnish Khanna will talk with students about career choices
The speaker is Rajnish Knanna, Ph.D., a scientist and entrepreneur who has poured his passion for food sustainability into a new business. He is a founder or co-founder of Global Food Scholar, Inc. (Based in Livermore), GetLocal Application, and I-Cultiver. He has given presentations at many venues, including TEDxLivermore, and takes his audience through his process of founding a company, with an emphasis on growing a network. Additionally, he will address opportunities in the future of food and agriculture. Dr. Khanna also contributes to research and development in Plant Biology and microbiology for the Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford University. Our Biology Department has expressed a strong interest in this speaker as well.
This event will be 6:00-7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, in Room 2420. It is the first Tuesday after spring break. All are welcome to attend: Students, Faculty, Administrators, and the General Public. Save date!
