High School Students - Concurrent Enrollment
Las Positas College provides the opportunity for high school students to enroll concurrently in college-level courses. High school students who desire to participate in concurrent enrollment must be recommended by their high school principal and have written parental permission. Further information on the Concurrent Enrollment policy is available at the student's high school, and the Office of Admissions and Records at Las Positas College.
Concurrent Enrollment Information for High School Students
We are happy to be able to offer High School students the opportunity
to enroll concurrently for Summer/Fall 2010. Please look
over the General
Information Form (57K PDF) very carefully. You will notice that we
are accepting students who are sophmores, juniors and seniors. Please be aware that concurrent enrollment students are subject to unit limitations, an application deadline, and a later
registration date.
- SUMMER/FALL 2010 Admission Steps
- Fill out the Admissions Application for the college. (Now available online.)
- Fill out the Concurrent Enrollment Recommendation Form (32K PDF); obtain all necessary signatures.
- Fill out the Parent/Guardian Authorization Form for Minors.
- Submit current high school transcript. 2.0 GPA or higher
- Turn in all completed forms for the Summer/Fall semester to LPC Admissions & Records as soon as possible in order to register on the May 24th registration date.
- Applications received after this date will be able to register after paperwork is approved. Please note: applications should be submitted no later than June 1st deadline date for best course selection.

Assessment Test
If you are intending to take any Math, English, or Chemistry 1 classes or any classes with a prerequisite in Math or English you must take the Assessment test. All students are strongly advised to take the Math and English assessment to determine their ability to benefit in college level courses. Registration
Accepted high school students may register for classes ONLINE beginning May 24th, 2010 via CLASS-Web or The ZONE..
