High School Students - Concurrent Enrollment
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Admissions and Records will be closed for Memorial Day Holiday on May 27.

We will be open from 9am - 1pm only on Tues May 28 for Concurrent Enrollment registration.

Our office will then be temporarily closed from May 27th thru June 5th to move to our new permanent location in the Student Services & Administration Building 1600, 2nd Floor.
Las Positas College provides the opportunity for high school students to enroll concurrently in college-level courses. High school students who desire to participate in concurrent enrollment must be recommended by their high school principal and have written parental permission. Further information on the Concurrent Enrollment policy is available at the student's high school, and at the Office of Admissions and Records in Bldg 700.
We are happy to be able to offer High School students the opportunity to enroll concurrently for the Spring, Summer, & Fall semesters. Please look over the General Information Form (click here) (57K PDF) very carefully. You will notice that we are accepting students who are sophmores, juniors and seniors only.
Please be aware that concurrent enrollment students are subject to unit limitations, an application deadline, and a later registration date. |
Important: Concurrent Enrollment applications will not be accepted for courses
that are closed or full.
-- Summer/Fall 2013 Admission Steps
(Please note: Applications are now open online)
- On or after April 15, 2013 - Complete the Admissions Application for the college.
- Print the confirmation page and attach to your current high school transcript and your official seal envelope AP TEST score.
- Fill out the Concurrent Enrollment Recommendation Form (PDF); obtain all necessary signatures.
- Fill out the Parent/Guardian Authorization Form for Minors (PDF).
- Submit all completed forms to LPC Admissions & Records no later than May 17 for Summer, and July 26 for Fall .
Applications received after these dates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Registration may be completed after approval.
FOR BEST COURSE SELECTION: completed applications should be submitted before the registration dates as classes are limited.

Assessment Test
Students must take the Assessment test if intending to take any Math, English, or Chemistry 1 classes or any classes with a prerequisite in Math or English. All students are strongly advised to take the Math and English assessment to determine their ability to benefit in college level courses. Students with approved forms may begin registering for classes ONLINE via CLASS-Web or The ZONE:
Summer = May 28, 2013
Fall = August 5, 2013
