Step 1: Who Am I? Learning more about your preferred interests, skills, and personality will help you focus and set priorities when exploring your career options.
Step 2: Explore Occupations: What careers are out there? How much do they pay? Are there jobs? Get the facts about the labor market.
Step 3: Making Decisions and Setting Goals: Personally satisfying decisions are based on honest information about yourself (Step 1) and accurate labor market information (STEP 2). Reliable information is the foundation of sound decisions.
Step 4: How Do I Get There?: (Educational Planning and Job Search) After you have made an initial educational/career decision, LPC counselors, in conjunction with the Career, Transfer and Employment Center, will help you develop a plan to reach your goals.
