by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Directory
indexes web sites for organization, support groups, self-help
associations as well as government agenices.

project of the health sciences libraries of the Greater Midwest
Region of the NNLM, the directory provides a centralized resource
to evaluated health sites.
Kaiser
Permanente Community Wellness Library - searchable list of
1000+ Kaiser-produced health education videos which may be borrowed
at no cost by groups or individuals; includes topics on general
health issues, specific diseases and conditions, and medical
education
MedlinePlus -
a project of NIH's National Library of Medicine, provides access to extensive
information about specific diseases and conditions. Also has links to consumer
health information from the National Institutes of Health; dictionaries; encyclopedia
with good images from Adam, Inc.; tutorials, slide shows, streaming video; lists
of hospitals and physicians; clinical trials ; and health information in Spanish
