The Administrative Medical Assistant programs provide students with office skills and basic medical knowledge for direct job entry in a medical office. The program is designed to provide basic and necessary foundation medical skills combined with administrative office skills to prepare students to assist with administration in health care offices and clinics.
The Administrative Medical Assistant Certificate Program at Las Positas College is designed for direct entry level job entry; this program provides technical knowledge and the ability to work within an organized system. While units in the program are transferable to many institutions, students should consult a counselor for information.
