The Program
Students with the Certificate or AS Degree which includes the Certificate plus several more classes and General Education are qualified for direct job entry in many fire departments. Las Positas College also offers training for the State Fire Officer I Certification, and preparation for the Level I Fire Prevention Officer, Level I Fire Investigator and Level I Fire Instructor certifications.
