Steps for New and Reactivating Clubs:
The following steps are required to request to organize a new and reactivate an existing club:
- Complete and submit an online Student Club Application.
- Complete the pdf Student Club Leaders Signature Pages by obtaining the typed names, W#, and electronic signatures of club leaders in the corresponding fields and submit as a pdf attachment via email.
- Create and submit a club constitution as a word document or pdf attachment via email. If guidance is needed, please use the Sample Club Constitution as a template.
The deadline for submitting the Student Club Application and supporting documents
is no later than one (1) calendar month before the last Inter-Club Council (ICC) meeting
of the semester.
Student clubs are required to submit a completed Student Club Application, Student Club Leaders Signature Pages, and a Club Constitution to Adria Anderson-Kelly, Student Life Office Administrative Assistant, at email@example.com.
Student Life Office Approval Process
Upon the club's completed submission of the requirements above, a review of the information and eligibility checks will be performed by the Program Coordinator of Student Life and Leadership or designee for all club officers and proxies for an official club approval determination.
The Club Advisor will be notified by email regarding the club's official approval status of the Student Life Office.
ICC Recognition Process
Upon the club's approval by the Student Life Office, the ICC Chair will add an agenda item for the next Inter-Club Council (ICC) meeting to recommend a vote to have the club officially recognized by the ICC.
Once the ICC has officially recognized a club, the club's ICC Representative will be required to attend all of the ICC meetings to exercise club privileges as a member of the council, including voting.
