On Campus Employment

Federal Work Study

On campus FEDERAL WORK STUDY student assistant positions are available in a variety of departments on campus. These opportunities are for students who have filed a FAFSA form and have some financial need. For more information about eligibility, contact the Financial Aid Office - Bldg. 1500.

Eligible FEDERAL WORK STUDY students, interested in "on-campus" employment will need to complete initial paperwork, and bring an UPDATED resume and available work hours to Bldg. 900, the Career/Transfer and Employment Center. Resumes will be forward to departments seeking assistance after proof of FA eligibility. Opportunities fill quickly so apply as early as possible. You will be contacted for an interview if your available hours match the needs of the department. Remember you are interviewing for a job so first impressions do count. While the college supports the academic goals of our students we also provide work related skills and depend on our students to be reliable to their work commitment

SPRING 2008

Your best opportunity will be for positions posted in January when hiring begins for Spring 2008 semester. You will receive your AWARD letter from Financial Aid regarding your elgibility and how to proceed with Federal Work Study Employment. Your first step is to complete paperwork and get a signature from a FA staff member. Bring that paperwork, along with your updated resume to the Career/Transfer & Employment Center Bldg. 900. Your resume will then be sent out and if the department is interested in interviewing, you will be contacted by that department.

A few departments have budgets to hire Student Assistants. International students and those not qualifying for Federal Work Study should bring their resume and available work hours to Bldg. 900, the Career/Transfer and Employment Center. Resumes will be forward to departments seeking assistance. Opportunities fill quickly so apply as early as possible.
