Cap and Gown Information and Purchase
All graduates are required to wear the customary cap and gown at the Commencement Ceremony. Graduates should arrive at the Registration Area wearing a cap and gown with the tassel positioned on the front right side of cap. It is recommended you wear business casual clothing under your gown and comfortable shoes.
The cap and gown will be available for purchase at the LPC College Bookstore (Bldg. 1300). TBD date!
YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO PURCHASE YOUR CAP and GOWN UNTIL YOU RECEIVE AN OFFICIAL INVITATION TO ATTEND THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY (by the end of April).
Purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Purchases must be made prior to the event as the Bookstore WILL NOT be open on Friday.
Pricing: (Last year’s pricing – waiting on more current pricing)
- Complete set (cap, gown, tassel): $53.00 + tax
- Cap only: $10.00 + tax
- Gown only: $36.00 + tax
- Tassel only: $7.00 + tax
Students with a financial need may qualify for a cap and gown. Financial need includes CalWORKs and EOPS Program students and students not currently employed with no financial assistance from family. Please complete the application by clicking here. ( Deadline: May 10, 2024 or while supplies last). Pick Up is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14th from 1- 5:00 pm.
Cap tops may be tastefully decorated.
