Degree/Certificate Deadline Information - 2007-2008
Do you believe you are ready to complete your degree or certificate this academic year? Please schedule an appointment with a counselor soon to review your progress towards degree or certificate completion.
Following this appointment, you can apply to Admissions & Records for your formal course evaluation for graduation by filling out a Request for AA/AS Degree or Certificate of Completion Achievement form available from the Admission & Records web page: http://www.laspositascollege.edu/admissions/forms.php.
Failure to not submit will result in not being notified about graduation nor receiving your diploma and/or certificate.
Not receiving college information? Have you moved? If so, please notify Admission & Records to update your student record.

Application Deadlines
- FALL is November 2, 2007.
- SPRING is April 18, 2008.
How Will I Know If I Completed My Requirements?
If you have submitted a “Petition to Graduate”, you will be notified by mail within six to eight weeks by the Student Records Evaluator if you are eligible for your respective degree and/or certificate or if you have courses that need to be completed.
Also, if you are planning to transfer to a four-year university, schedule an appointment to complete the required IGETC and GE Certificate the semester prior to transferring.
Failure to not submit the “Petition to Graduate” will result in:
- not being notified about graduation,
- no formal review of your student record, and
- not receiving a degree or certificate.
