Honors Transfer Program Benefits
- The Honors Transfer Program provides highly motivated and
skilled transfer students the opportunity to work closely with
outstanding faculty and other skilled and motivated students
in research, advanced topics, and special seminars.
- The Honors Transfer Program provides the opportunity for
success within the transfer process by helping honors students
search for and find programs that match their goals, interests,
and needs. The Honors Transfer Program also assists students
in their efforts to find scholarships and other opportunities
for financial aid. With the guidance of the honors counselor
and faculty, honors students receive special guidance in the
school-selection and application process, including writing
the application essay and preparing for personal interviews.
- The Honors Transfer Program provides students an opportunity
to associate with other students having similar goals. Students
share their commitment to learning, newly-discovered study
skills, and information about the transfer process.
- Other benefits include:
- Transcript designation for honors academic activities
- Special recognition of Honors Scholar at graduation
- Scholarships and other benefits for students transferring
to certain universities (found in transfer agreements
with selected 4-year institution
