Honors Transfer Program

Pre-Honors Scholars

The Las Positas College Honors Transfer Program recognizes the importance of encouraging academic success at all levels of a student's educational career. Opportunities for independent and creative learning help to prepare each student for success at a four-year institution and beyond. It is because of this that the Emerging Scholars Program and the Aspiring Scholars Program have been established.

Emerging Scholars Program

The Emerging Scholars Program is for the student at Las Positas College who has the capacity to excel and enter the Honors Transfer Program, but who does not currently meet the academic GPA requirements. Students are invited to enroll in the honors colloquium and participate in the program social activities. Once all eligibility requirements are met, students are invited to apply to the Honors Transfer Program.

Aspiring Scholars Program

The Aspiring Scholars Program consists of activities for high school or middle-school students who are academically motivated and who demonstrate the potential to become members of the Las Positas College Honors Transfer Program. Current program members are mentors for the aspiring scholars.
