MATHEMATICS COUNCIL COMMUNITY COLLEGES
The California Mathematics Council Community Colleges (CMC3) provides
a forum through which mathematics faculty in Northern and Central California
can express themselves professionally at the local, state and national
level and supports mathematical activity by faculty and students.

ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) is the world's
largest organization devoted to the interests of collegiate mathematics.
Members of the MAA receive many vaulable for modest dues. These benefits
are designed to stimulate interest in mathematics by providing expository
books and articles on contemporary mathematics and on recent developments
at the frontiers of mathematical research, and by exchanging information
about important events in the mathematical world. A major emphasis of
the MAA is the teaching of mathematics at the collegiate level, but
anyone who is interested in mathematics is welcome to join.
NATIONAL
COUNCIL OF TEACHERS OF MATHEMATICS
The mission of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
is to provide the vision and leadership necessary to ensure a mathematics
education of the highest quality for all students. NCTM's Principles and Standards for School Mathematics, published in
2000, provides guidelines for excellence in mathematics education and
issues a call for all students to engage in more challenging mathematics.
