Blackboard on Mobile Devices

Ever wanted to do your class work on your mobile device? With Blackboard Mobile Learn, now you can.

LPC students with Android devices or with an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod touch can download the Blackboard Mobile Learn app to access their Blackboard courses. Within their courses, students can view, and post to, the Discussion Board, Blogs and Journals; view Announcements, images and PDFs; upload content; check grades; use the Tasks tool; and watch, and listen to, certain multimedia files.

The app is not free; it costs $1.99 for an unlimited amount of time. The app will work with Android and iOS devices on all carriers and networks. It is available for download through the App Store and Google Play.

The above arrangement is for mobile devices that use the app; Blackboard remains free to use on a computer. It is also free to use in a browser on a mobile device that is not using the app.

After downloading and installing the app, launch it, then do a search for Las Positas. Choose Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. Enter your Blackboard username and password. You will then be asked to pay for the app. Once done, a list of your available courses will appear.

Blackboard provides end-user support for the app. Support can be reached by tapping the "?" before logging in or by tapping the gear icon and then "Help" after logging in.
