Women Win first game of the season
The Lady Hawks defeated Napa Valley College 70-51 in preseason play. Tatjana Pitts led all scorers with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Carlie Bonderer added 20 points, 21 rebounds, and 5 assists. Both Tatjana and Carlie proved to be too much of an inside presence. Their domination in the paint was the one - two punch that knocked out Napa. Stefanie Eubanks chipped in with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals off the bench. In addition, the tenacious and gritty play of point guard Mariah Ward was a crucial piece to Hawks success. The sophomore point guard led the Lady Hawks to an opening win, kicking off the season 1-0. Mission Tournament November 11-13
Game with De Anza College
The Lady Hawks lost a close game to De Anza College. The Hawks were leading at half time 21-18. The game was close in the second half, De Anza was leading by twelve with five minutes to go when Mariah Ward hit 4 three pointers in row to tie the game. However, the late surge was not enough. De Anza retook the lead and the final score ended 65-54, De Anza College. Carlie Bonderer had 12 points, 10 rebounds, Tatjana Pitts had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and Cezzalene Arabia chipped in with six points. Other significant stats included Brianna Estrada's three steals and Kelsey Dunnigan's seven boards. The Hawks head into the second round tomorrow at 2pm and will face Contra Costa College.

LPC vs Contra Costa
The Lady Hawks defeated Contra Costa 58-49 in the second Round of the Mission College Tip Off Tournament. Mariah Ward led all scorers with 23 points. She hit 7 three pointers, 4 of which came late in the second half. Tatjana Pitts chipped in with 10 points, 8 rebounds and Carlie Bonderer had 9 points, 10 rebounds. Off the bench Cezzaline Arabia proved to be a spark hitting two three pointers and making some key passes, and defensive plays. Kelsey Dunnigan also gave positive minutes off the bench grabbing seven rebounds and going 2-3 from the free throw line. The Lady Hawks improve to 2-1 and will play in the consolation championship at 12 pm tomorrow against Reedley College.

LPC vs Reedly College

The Lady Hawks lost to Reedley today 77-62. The Hawks led at halftime 36-33; however, Reedley scored 44 in the second half. Guard play by Reedley proved to be the dagger. Tatjana Pitts and Carlie Bonderer each had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and once again dominated the paint. Kelsey Dunnigan had six points and nine rebounds. Mariah Ward also contributed with six assists. Second half defense and 24 turnovers led to the loss. The Lady Hawks go on the road Wednesday to play Monterey Peninsula tip off at 5:30 pm.

LPC vs Cabrillo College
The Lady Hawks beat Cabrillo College in the home opener 52-41. The Hawks advance to 4-2 in preseason play. Carlie Bonderer led with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tatjana Pitts scored 16 and had 10 boards. Mariah Ward had another outstanding game at the point guard position, dishing out 7 assist and grabbing 7 steals. Marissa Ocon and Stefanie Eubanks combined for 7 steals off the bench as the Lady Hawks forced Carbillo into 25 turnovers. Wednesday Nov. 23 at 5 PM is the next home game. The Hawks take on Marin College. Hope to see you at the game.

Game with College of Marin - November 23, 2011
The Lady Hawks beat Marin 62-37. Carlie Bonderer led all scorers with 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 steals. Tatjana Pitts bounced back from foul trouble and scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds. Stefanie Eubanks scored 6 points off the bench, grabbed 8 boards and had 5 steals. Overall, the Hawks had 28 steals, 6 coming from Trina Torrence, 5 from Mariah Ward, and 3 from Cezzaline Arabia. On the offensive side the Hawks racked up 17 assists as team, 6 from Ward, 4 from Bonderer, and 3 from Arabia. Brianna Estrada hit the only three pointer for the Hawks and gave great leadership at the point guard position. Tuesday Nov. 29th the Hawks travel on the road to Modesto. Currently the ladies hold a 5-2 record.

Lady Hawk beat Hartnell College 69-52
The Lady Hawks beat Hartnell College in the semi finals of the Hartnell Classic, final score 69-52. Carlie Bonderer scored 22 points and had 20 rebounds. Mariah Ward and Tatjana Pitts contributed 12 points each, while Stephanie Eubanks chipped in with 8 points off the bench. The Hawks play Taft in the Championship (12/4) at 3pm. Let's go Hawks!!!

Lassen vs LPC at Las Positas December 7, 2011
The Lady Hawks defeated Lassen at home 74-48. Carlie Bonderer scored 34 points a game high that is third best in the state. Tatjana Pitts had 12 points, 14 rebounds and 3 steals. Mariah Ward dished out 10 assists and Stefanie Eubanks came off the bench to score 9 points and grab 3 steals. Emmry Stimson had one of her best games of the year, and proved to be a spark off the bench hitting two game changing shots.The Hawks advance to 8-4 and head on the road to play Siskiyous College Friday night and Yuba College Saturday night. Let's go Lady Hawks!
College of the Siskiyous and Yuba College play Las Positas' Hawks
The Lady Hawks split their two games. On Friday the Hawks lost to Siskiyous College 78-48, but bounced back on Saturday to beat Yuba 50-42.
Versus Siskiyous, Tatjana Pitts had 15 points and 12 rebounds and Carlie Bonderer dropped in 10 points and had 10 boards. Marrissa Ocon had a breakout game scoring 10 points hitting two three pointers. Brianna Estrada also had a great game coming off the bench for seven points and 3 assists. However, the Hawks struggled to defend the three allowing Siskiyous to hit 14 of them.
Against Yuba the guards stepped up hitting 9 three pointers. Mariah Ward hit 4, Cezzaline Arabia hit 2, Marrissa Ocon hit 2, and Trina Torrence hit 1. Nine made three pionters as a team helped to beat the packed in zone defense of Yuba. The Hawks also did a nice job from the free throw line hitting 11 of 14. Stefanie Eubanks gave great minutes off the bench had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
The Hawks play on the road this week going to Cabrillo on Tuesday and San Jose City on Friday. The last two games of the preseason.
