The first annual LPC Literary Arts Festival will be held on May 8, 2021!
The LPC Literary Arts Festival is a free, all-day event on the LPC campus or held virtually for the community and LPC students. It will include workshops, panels, speakers, a poetry slam, book tables, open mics, and the LPC Anthology Publication and Awards ceremony.
Special thanks to the LPC Foundation and the Dale and Ted Kaye Innovation Grant!
- The RAW (Reading and Writing) Center offers free, online tutoring from English and ESL Faculty! The RAW Center has switched to a new platform, Penji! Visit the RAW Center website for more information.
- Smart Shops are free, informative workshops for students! Be sure to check out the Smart Shop Series and click here for the downloadable Smart Shop calendar.

Take English 45: Postcolonial Literature this Summer 2021!

Taught by Dr. Catherine Eagan, this class focuses on literature of the postcolonial world and runs from June 21- July 29. Check out this flyer for more information.
English 1AEX
Students entering LPC now have the option to take English 1AEX, a 1A level course, which has added support and guidance.
Some of the benefits of taking a 1AEX course are as follows:
- Rigorous coursework at a slower pace
- Additional time for support from the instructor and instructional assistants
- Extensive practice of concepts
- In class time for practice and feedback
