Program Planning Workshops for New Students
Is this your first time attending any college? If so, students new to Las Positas College and who are without previous college experience are invited to attend a scheduled Program Planning session prior to registering for classes. Program Planning is a group counseling session and includes an in-person orientation to welcome you to LPC! Students will learn vital information for making informed decisions about their college career, and academic choices as Las Positas.
Counselors will provide interpretation of the student’s English, English as a Second Language (ESL), mathematics, and chemistry assessment results and will help them select their first semester courses. The Program Planning workshop is scheduled AFTER students complete their English, ESL, math and/or chemistry assessments. For more information about the assessment, check out the Assessment Center.
LPC Student Services offices will be closed on Convocation and College Day for professional development but will reopen for online AND in person services on Wednesday, August 18th.
